Buying 2018 F250 Lariat need some advice
Hello Everyone!! I am new to the forum and I am buying my 1st pickup truck for daily driver and light construction work (pulling an ocassional trailer with BobCat on it). Mostly local driving and occasional Trip from South Carolina to NY. I have decided on a 2018 F250 Lariat Super Duty, Crew Cab, 6.2L Gas Engine, 8 foot bed. I have figured out most of the options I want but have a few questions on some.
1) Leather interior vs Cloth: Which one holds up better to wear and dirt?
2) Running Boards: Long vs Short and Powered vs Fixed Do the longer running fixed boards pose and problems with scraping or getting banged up vs the shorter boards? Do the longer boards help getting in or out of the bed from the side if necessary? Are the power boards a good option or jus a "Nice to have"
3) Ford shows a two tone paint but I can't tell if its paint along the bottom and wheel wells or is it more of a heavy coating to protect against chips and scratches?
4) Which rear end for 6.2L gas with occasional hauling of a trailer with bob cat around town? 3.73 or 4.30?
I hope that wasn't to long winded!!
thanks,
Keith R

Welcome!
1) seat covers on either for works trucks
2) I like the powered cause they tuck up when driving - that said, I always cringe every time that motors goes off thinking how many cycles is in its life?
3) Im doing a 10" wrap along the bottom of mine (where the natural body seam is) - easy way to two tone, go clear, get bored of one color easy switch to the next, etc. and protects it.
4) I would go 4.30 in a gasser that tows

Thanks Wicked 2018 ..Seats covers could work. The wrap was something I never thought of.. could do some cool things with that!! I was wondering about the cycle life of those boards too..There is a way to keep them out with a setting in the instrument cluster..but that kind of defeats some of the purpose I guess. Yes I was leanig towards the 4.30 too!!
