6.9l swapped into 78 f150 4x4 TWIN turbo!!

I’ve always wanted a diesel swapped 78. The reason it’s posted here is because it’s a 6.9 custom swap and I need the knowledge of the IDI gurus!! A little about my setup, it’s a 78 F150 XLT 4x4 with a 400/C6. I bought a 86 6.9 N/A and a 4x4 T19. I got the diesel setup for 200 bucks so why not.
Ive started disassembling the 6.9 while I wait on a regasketing set and studs. I’ll get some pics up!!

The heads were were leaking at the rear and the front so I’ll post what it looked like as I disassembled.

Also there is some brass piece that is on the fuel feed tube that goes from the manual pump to the filter head with a wire attached, what is this?

Found a GP that won’t come out. Gunna grab the punch and get to hittin’!

Also found two pistons that were once friends with GP’s. The cylinder walls have the cross hatching still and are not scratched by the metal that fell into the cylinder. Should I change the pistons out or does it really matter? Could I mill the pistons? If so how much would milling a 16th off lower my CR to?

I would go to this forum on the board and ask your questions. This is technically the right place, but the diesel guys hang out more in this link.

You're definitely going to need some heavier coils up front.

I am confused? The title says twin turbo? If so you have a ton of fab work and a lot of machine work to be done. You will need to bring the CR down to the 16:1 range for it to work.
