It's a 2019. I have no idea what version of sync is on it, but I think it's 3 because it has the same stupid colors that I got when the problem started on my F250.

Interesting same version we have. The little buggers they’ve then done something with the newer trucks different.

Yeah, I figured you had a different build. I’d bet a sandwich that’s the problem. Maybe you can find my build and install it?

That's the version that I have that started the whole default to FM problem. Wish I'd never messed with the last update. I don't see any improvements, only one big drawback.
What sucks is that this is very well known and Ford does absolutely zero to fix it.

Guys
JFI.. I had been having the same problem. I was keeping a CD loaded in the cd player, and since I removed it, the problem seems to have been corrected.

My dealership submitted my issue of my radio reverting back to FM to Ford Engineering. After about a week they received a message back that stated exactly what was on this link.

They are aware of the issue, engineering is working on it and the dealership was told not to perform any repairs for this concern at this time until they can develop a solution.

So if you are like me and very close to your 36,000 mile warranty expiring then I would get this issue logged with your dealership. Have them create a case with Ford and then just wait. This way when a fix is developed it will likely be covered under warranty...as it should.

P.S...I'm going to repost this in my "report issues" thread with hopes to reach as many people as possible with this issue.

I suppose one should do as you mentioned, could maybe even be mentioned if off warranty. I however will be extremely surprised if the fix is anything beyond a software upgrade in the end.

I agree...since it was a software upgrade that caused the issue...but just in case it isn't a bad idea right?

Thank you.

yes and all that needs to happen is delay start of radio tell truck is running, But you can't get to talk to an engineer. It's sickening.
