1994 Ford F150 XL 4x2 dual tanks
I received an After market fuel pump. The part did not have a wiring schematic. I was wondering if any one knows the color match up so I van finish installation. New part on the left with the Purple, Black, Gray, and White Black. The old part Red, Orange, Blue/White, and Black. Which color wire do I match-up?

Not knowing if this is right or not but what I would do.
With paper & pencil in hand write down the wire colors of the old plug.
Now looking at the end of both plugs see what colors line up between them.
Write down the new plugs color next to the old plugs colors and now you have what goes where.
Again this I what "I" would do.
Why did you cut the old plug off the harness are they different?
I think I would have gotten the right pump so it plugs right in.

1994 Ford F-150 manual transmission to 1974 Ford F100
Good Evening,
I was wondering if I could take the manual transmission from my 1994 Ford F150 4.9 I6 , and put it in my 1974 Ford F100 which has a .302 motor the 1974 is a manual. The 1994 is giving me a fit to work on all sorts of engine problems, The Catalytic Converter was glowing orange about a month ago when I got it running. I changed the Oxygen Sensor yesterday will would not turn over had a smoky burning smell.

If the converter was glowing it is undoubtedly damaged internally from a "meltdown", usually caused by running extremely rich at some point in its life, often due to a mis-firing plug or a faulty choke. It can be so badly plugged that the engine will not run. Start there.
I think that truck is EFI so no choke but could be wrong too.
And if it is EFI it has a computer that can give you codes what it sees is wrong.
As for the tray swap they are both small block bell bolt pattern so should bolt up but ..........
The 94 has hyd clutch so you would have to figure how to mount one in the older truck and no you cant use the linkage for the older truck as the new trany has no way to use it.
Then you need to look if the 94 uses a speedo cable to drive the speedo or does it used VSS?
I don't know between the 2 years you are working with but 80-86 trucks you take everything, trany / hyd pedal assy. / floor cover / cross member & brackets from the 90's truck just off the top of my head.

Sorry so long getting back to you. Crazy work hours, truck driver and I don't check in here all the time.
I would check to see what codes it has stored. It could be as easy as replacing the O2 sensor to keep it from running rich and what might have taken the cat out and replace the cat.
See my answer above it may not take much to get it running right.
BTW on older cars & trucks the cat was only made to last so long so yours might of been due for a change any way. The glowing is a sure sign it is bad and back in the day on cars would heat the floor up and set the rug & padding on fire.
No I live in Angier and have a 2 large bay garage with work shop that I am rebuilding my 81 F100 flare side.
Once done I will get back on a 70 AMC Javelin that I started rebuilding & moding too many years ago. I also have a 2nd 70 Javelin drag car and may get that running again but many years down the road.
