Question OIL FILTER
IIRC there are a larger oil filter for our PSD, but I dont remember the part number, does anyone has it and do you recommend it or its a waste of money and whats the best brand?

FL-1995 is what I use

This is about double in size of a FL-1995

The big Donaldson oil filter. I can get under and look if someone doesn't have a part number handy. Knotty beat me, lol

I use it Jose + the FS2500 oil bypass system. The way I beat on my truck I think its important to keep the oil as clean as I can.

How much more oil does that filter add over the stock Motorkraft unit?

Probably one quart compared to three quarts.

My take

The bigger filter isn't going to do miracles and an extra quart isn't much of an increase compared to the 16 we already use in it

You still have to change the oil when the oil is worn out and since its bigger you can go longer between filter changes but that leaves more oil not changed

With an oil bypass and proven oil that holds up better to shearing with lab testing, you can extend you oil change intervals

Last time I changed oil it was 16 1/2 quarts with the big filter and FS2500.
