Anyone ever installed a captains chairs instead of the back seat?

Brainstorming ways to get more storage space out of my crew cab's interior. Removing the back seat would help a lot but I would need to install a single captains chair for the baby that's brewing in my wife's oven. Has anyone ever done this? Or know if it is possible to separate and remove 2/3rds of the bench seat?

I have not done this but you got me thinking that would be an awesome idea, I use the back of the rear seat to hold my hunting shotguns, so it may not be for me but you never know!

This may be a false memory, but I think there was a package, during the 6.0 years, that came set up like that. Maybe the Harley package.

That's correct, the 2005 Harley had it. Seems like a rare bird for sure.

I remember seeing some King Ranch with that set up as well. 4 captains chairs in a crew cab. The Current bench is 1 piece that is easy to remove it would just be a matter of how the new chair attaches.
