1992 E150 V6 waterpump and fan clutch removal

How do I get this off? I know I need a wrench that’s 40mm. I have added

a few pictures here.

Red arrows take this off when?
Yellow arrows remove this when?
Green arrow remove when and how?

i need to replace the water pump. It’s making noise and it’s already shot water out the weep hole.

I prevouisly paid someone to do this. Cause I tried the rental tools and failed. Not again.

This time I'm looking for help.
I willing to buy tools.

Sorry if pictures are big. Did Post from my phone.

1992 E150 with A/C straight V6

I would recommend removing the radiator first. The extra space will make the rest of the job a lot easier. Then with the belt on, use a wrench on the large hex and give it a good whack with a rubber mallet and it will unscrew from the pump shaft. IIRC it's left-handed thread, surely someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

No, it is not. He needs to remove the belt, get a chain wrench to wrap around the pulley to hold it and use a big end wrench that fits the nut to remove the fan. Threads are left handed. I did this in a parking lot of a motel in Las Vegas Nv on a 96 E150 with a 351

You don't need to remove the radiator. Read my post above. You will need a chain wrench to hold backup on the pulley. The chain wrench is a MUST to do it correctly and without tearing other **** up doing it.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Thanks everyone for you help. I used an air hammer with a point chisel. Never removed the radiator left the belt on and just kept hitting the edge of the nut till it unscrewed. Removed fan cover and all off. Now I need to work on the bolts holding the water pump in.

Should i I replace the thermostat while I’m at it? (Don’t know it’s status)

Good for you
most times this ends up with a hole in the radiator
dropping it takes 5 minutes
what does a rad cost?

better to be lucky than good though you may be both
the extra room to work makes it worth it to me
if those bolts are an issue, well, you'll see.
good luck!

There was plenty of room to remove the fan clutch and blades. Got the pully off the water pump. Cleaned the fan clutch( was nasty dirty)

i will work removing the water pump tomorrow.

Should i I replace the thermostat? Thoughts?
