I just got a new Dennis Carpenter book today. Am I reading this right? '66 F100-F250 radiator support?
I've been away for a while and just got back on a couple of months ago, so I may have missed it.
Lol..... I ordered the OTHER one (pictured) in January! So I'm out! You'll have to find a other test-pilot.
It's too late for me....but I really hope it's the right one. It'll be the answer to alot of prayers for those of us in the rust belt....and a curse to those out west who sell the "rust-free" originals.

Carpenter listed the WRONG applications for this C6TZ-16138-C radiator support.
What is actually fits: C6TZ-16138-C = 1965 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD
Then there's this that Carpenter doesn't reproduce: C6TZ-16138-B = 1966 F100/250 2WD
I don't have the DC book in front of me. It's around here somewhere, BUT, I blew up the picture and it looks like a 65' support to me. The big difference between the 65' and 66', is how the radiator bolts up to the support. That and a couple other differences. I do believe that even though the one pictured looks like a 65', unless they have tooled one up, DC only sells the 66' model. You can make one work but you will need to be inventive for the radiator mounting.
I think I still have a 66' support that came out of a truck that had a 6 cylinder. It has a factory removable side plate that makes the opening smaller, for a smaller radiator. Haven't looked at it in a few years but I think the only thing wrong with it is it has a small hole just below the right headligt indentation. Easy to weld up.
I saw it one day at the bone yard a few years back and desided, what the heck, and took it home with me. Stuck it in storage, ya know, just because...
It's the only one I have ever seen with that side plate.
