How do these dome lights connect?

I bought this dome light from LMC (that may be the issue ). I can't figure out how to wire it in, is there a special pigtail? I couldn't find one in any of the aftermarket catalogs. It is supposed to be a direct replacement, but I can't find anyplace to attach wires. I have an aftermarket (Painless) wiring harness, so I don't have the original connections. Ideas?

No connections anywhere, what's the deal?

It'll work. I have the same one. I believe a hot wire attaches to one screw and the other grounds to cab. If no one adds a picture or diagram this morning, I'll pull and take a picture for you.

Originally you would remove old dome light and put your new one in its place. But you have new wiring harness. Have you stripped the cab of the wire that goes up the drivers side A-pillar beside the windshield and along the side of the roof of the cab around the rear corner to the dome light? Original connection is a rubber block with a hole in it where the screw goes when you screw the dome light in place, the connection is made through the top right screw, the screw is the connection (I know, weird right?) the dome light only goes on one-way as the plastic is formed with an indentation next to that screw hole for the rubber block to fit there.

Yup. Like this............ You'll probably fab up one that is better than the original, but they should be easy to find at salvage yard. Or, I could pull the one from my parts truck. Just let me know.

Man, that is weird. Thanks for your help, that's exactly the info I was looking for. I might try to whip something up myself.

When you get it hooked up can you take some pictures of the cab lit at night? The pictures on LMC make it look like a bright bluish white light. But I'd buy one if the light is more natural (warmer) color.

Currently without, but I will be installing one. I did order the earlier light though.

It is a very cool blue light which I hate for interior, so I'm also ordering one of these. This is the bulb it uses and you can get them in cool white (blue), natural white, or warm white.
