What's wrong with your stock manifolds?
Are we talking exhaust manifolds? If so, you can have them trued for a lot less than new.

Yes exhaust manifolds. They've got some pitting and one of the ports is thin on the top as in the thickness of the port.

Having to replace those is rare and I have not heard anyone recommend for or against any particular manufacturer on them. They don't involve a lot of engineering and there are no moving parts so I wouldn't expect there to be a reason to pay the Ford premium for them. I don't think I would go with the cheapest ones I found either but that's just me. A report on what you do come up with would be great.

Any chance in getting a take off set from a pick and pull or junk yard?

I had great success with finding an OEM replacement rim when traveling and away from home from this site.

If you don't have soot oozing out and staining under the hood, and you can't find any other symptoms of leaks - I would suggest posting a picture of this impending failure before going through the hassle and expense of replacement manifolds.

I know two people who had thin areas. Both had the thin areas welded. One guy had his manifolds then trued, the other guy just used gaskets. Neither has leaks or boost issues. Pick & pull is a good option also.

Pick and Pull....might work for some areas of the country, but when I rebuilt the engine on my '96, I had to cut the exhaust bolts off....and then had to have them surfaced.
