psst pat... psssss... Denny brought it with him...
Don't think so, it's going to be awhile before I'm in shorts again.
At least the F150 stated right up so the dually can be rested for awhile and I can see what's wrong with the brakes, I think part of the problem is the NAPA brake pads I used on the front.

Feeling soft? like they got no grip?? if you used ceramics get them off your truck.. they wont hold.. go back to the semi-metallics...

Denny, the coming week looks pretty nice here upper 60's and lower 70's all week. It's about damn time!

I used their semi-metallic expensive fleet pads, they aren't soft but sound like I'm killing a pig on the right front and under heavy braking the same one gets a vibration in it, kind of scary when you gross 24.4K. I'm sure the right front rotor is toast and being a 2WD DRW the front rotors are expensive. It will have Preformace Friction Carbon Metalic on it this time.
Denny, do you ever have problems with the calipers sticking? I've had that happen twice on my 06.
That was the original problem from the factory, the slide pins were sticking and I chewed up the front pads in 29K but I was also having brake problems on my trailer so the fronts did a lot of the stopping. The trailer had disk brakes now so that's no longer a problem. With hydro assist brakes instead of vacuum it's really hard to tell how hard your working them and you always have a hard petal.

ahh.. i tried the Ceramics.. even empty i was having problems stopping the truck.. went back to the semimetalics.. no issues since.. its really scary when you have something pull in front of you and the only brakes that grab on the rear ones... Front just slipped sounded like you were grinding rocks together...
I replaced all 4 calipers last year. I think I had one binding up the other day. So, I'm going to pull the wheels Sunday and have a look. I'd do it tomorrow, but, I'll be in Lincoln, with 90,000 of my friends at the Spring Game!
I can't do much at this time because the trailer is blocking my shop door waiting to get washed up so it can be put away but it's to cold to wash it.
I will want a full report in the spring game
I tried those NAPA "Premium" once on my 87 F250. More pedal pressure needed lots of smoke after coming down a hill. Got the cheaper ones under warranty and no problems.
