5.4 cam phasers

Hi everyone this question is actually in regards to a truck that my cousin is looking at buying so bear with me if I don't know the particulars of this truck itself. I know it's a 2010 F-150 XLT 4x4 with the 5.4 V8 and just about 100,000 miles on the odometer. My question is this, did Ford ever solve the cam phaser issue with this motor or is that something he should be concerned about even on a 2010? I know that by that time Ford had finally realized the 2-piece spark plug was was a bad idea and they went back to a traditional 1-piece design. I know that cam phasers were much more of an issue with the 04-08 trucks, but had their engineers ever figured out a solution to that design flaw? Thanks for your help.

Update: I reposted this question in the 2009-'14 F-150 forum and got my answer there.
