Of course! I was half serious, half joking. I actually purchased a small tablet at one point to do this, but did not have the time to mess with it so I sent it back. I WOULD like to have the ability to monitor more of the truck when I am towing, but do not want to add 8 more gauges. If I had an inexpensive tablet that I could plug in when I was towing and then could set aside when I didn't need it, that would be ideal. That is IF is was ready to go out of the box.

I have a small throw-away cell phone I use for my extra "gauges". It's a 5.5" Android pre-paid that I paid $20 for. It's not as big and fancy as a tablet but it does take up far less room and it's mounted to my windshield.

I thought about going to a tablet but the only things I look at regularly are ICP, IPR, Injector Pulse Width, EBP (Tugly's Turbo Pressure Delta), and voltage. Of those IPR and ICP are the only ones I continuously monitor so a cell phone does just fine for me.

I have mine mounted in the lower left of my windshield/dash...

Like Brian, I have a phone that I use that is no longer in service via the 4G towers. I think it is a new Razr when they came out about 6 years ago. It works well, but is limited based on the small screen. I have not quite figured out how to log and print data points yet, but that is only because I get busy with other projects.

The old phone is a good idea. I have an old Android laying around. However, the part of the 650 dash where the switches go would be a perfect place to mount a vertical tablet. I would like to have an EOT gauge, possibly another fuel pressure (pre filter). The tablet or phone could have ICP, IPR and all of those other ones used to engine health and diagnosing purposes.

I went with the cheap tablet as i wanted lots of room for multiple gauges and to have them about the same size as a 2-1/16" gauge. I also did not have a functioning old android phone to use. It has a dummy email account I used to setup a google play store account just to purchase torque pro and forscan. It has no access to my real email, no gps information, no saved usernames or passwords, It lives in the truck. I hope nobody takes it but if they do all they have is a cheap tablet with none of my information.
