Does anyone have a dimension for where the bolts for the retainer #5486 should be? I took one off a 78 or something but did not take the measurements. Thanks

I asked the same question over a year ago and never did get an answer. So I put mine on at 9 1/2 inches forward of the front edge of the cross member. That is to the rear bolt hole on the bracket. You just need to set it where it won't hit the spring at it's closest point.

I never measured mine when I removed it from the donor truck. I tried to find the info also but couldn't come across any so I just mounted it where it seemed to sit good and not hit the coil like Cropduster said I can measure mine later to see where it ended up.

Thanks guys. I am not ready to install it yet. I will keep my eyes out for a truck that has the sway bar and then get a measurement.

Finally got around to measuring mine and it's at 9 3/8 from the front crossmember to the back bolt for the brackets

Thanks to all for the replies! Not having much luck finding NOS stuff. Prob time to just fab something up.

Do have a setup "engineered" for my application. Now all I gotta do is find the pieces to build it. Working with a Company to see what they come up with.
