I purchased front shocks for my van, which have the top t-bar configuration like the older Mustangs. The top shock mounts are not reachable via the wheel well, so is it available via the motor bay on the inside if I remove the engine cowling?
Yeah it has to be under the cowling, I'm just not ready to replace them now and thought I'd ask the forum, because taking that cowling off isn't one of my favorite things to do.
Did you happen to use the Gabriel Classic shocks? They are the only shocks I could find anywhere but figure they are better than the shot ones that are on the van, even being standard duty and not the heavy duty shocks the van deserves. If you installed the Gabriel's, did you notice a difference?
Gabriel is the only one making shocks for them, mine were the originals, appeared to have leaked some fluid, but still felt fine, I noticed no difference, I have air shocks in the rear set at about 100 PSI.
Ok dang that's what I thought. I looked into custom shocks but they would be way too expensive. I bought the HiJackers as well and am hoping they lift my back up a bit, especially since my van is a camper van and sometimes we load her up pretty full.
I bought the kit to independently air them, I have a wheelchair lift, was trying to stop the lean, I am just going to install an add a leaf, it would not stay up, even with it at 100 PSI it seems to have lost height.
