I am referring to adaptive steering not adaptive cruse control. The adaptive steering is part of the steering wheel on my truck. It's all molded in to the wheel. I'm not sure if that can be switched out or not. Looks to be all part of the wheel. Idk though I've never had it apart compleatly.

Doesnt the raptor have a more advanced adaptive steering where you can adjust it on the fly? In any event, I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with the wheel and everything to do with the clock spring.

The control bezel on your steering with their respective wiring harnesses are switched over to the new raptor steering wheel making it plug and play. This keeps the unique options specific to your truck intact. The Raptor steering wheel can be purchased with heated function with 4 different configs

The swap will not work, I tried it about a month ago. The F150 and SD use completely different airbags. The F150 airbag has two plugs and the SD has one plug. The SD airbag will not latch into the F150 steering wheel. You will also loose adaptive steering if you have it as the motor is mounted in the SD steering wheel.

Why would they use different airbags but the same steering wheel core? So theoretically if you got a F150 airbag it would work?

yes this is what I was trying to say. The adaptive steering motor is part of the wheel itself. You will notice if you have it the bottom of the wheel is bulged out where the motor is. If you don't it's just flat on the bottom.

No the F150 airbag will not plug into the SD wire harness.

F150 airbag has two plugs, SD airbag has 1 plug and a ground wire. SD airbag will not latch into the F150 steering wheel.

I have a raptor wheel in my garage.....just doesn't work.

Yes, but I could care less about loosing the SD adaptive cruise as its not really adaptive compared the 150 version which will actually correct the wheel instead of just vibrate to let you know you are out of lane. I would much rather have the raptor wheel then a wheel with a vibrator in it. The airbags are the real problems.

That is not what adaptive steering or cruise is.

Steering wheel swap wont effect either of those, the motor in the wheel is the lane keeping assist motor.

three different things here.
Adaptive cruise control.
Adaptive steering
Lane keeping assist

As posted above, raptor can be had with adaptive cruise control. No issue there.
A swap will affect adaptive steering, as it is not an option in the F150
Lane keeping assist is just a small vibration in the SD. Not sure how it is implemented in the 150.

So who ordered one, anyone verify this doesnt work? Anyone try getting the correct clock spring so you have the right plugs for the airbags?
