Ok, so I tested the red/white wire and it does have power all of the time, however the white/blue wire does not have power with key on. I also spliced in a new ground from the battery to the black wire and still nothing. Obviously, the issue is in the white/blue wire. Where does that wire come from?
Did you turn the ignition switch to RUN to check that W/LB wire?
Yes, key was in run. Trying to trace where it's going. I pulled on the wire and the turn signal actually flashed, so I'm on the right track. Just trying to figure out where it goes to. I'll just run a new wire if I know where it's going.
Success!!! The bolt that holds that connector on the back of the fuse panel was lose. I took the connector apart and the terminal was corroded. Cleaned it up, put dielectric grease on it, put it back together and it works! Thanks so much for the help. Knowing what wires were supposed to have power pointed me in the right direction. What a relief. Still not sure why grounding the white/red wire made it work previously?? Doesn't matter, but I like to know how things work. Also, I discovered that the windshield is leaking, and the water was dripping right on the back of the fuse panel. Probably why I found the group of melted wires.
