The gooseneck prep package had more stuff in it than in my last SD. Also, the chain hooks spread the load over all four holes instead of 2. The swing box will need to be removed on the driver's side when hauling a gooseneck - not enough room for the brake hookup. The loading ramps add a plate on the tailgate that they hook into - really nice ramps.

 

 

Do you have a picture showing the tailgate plate installed? I'm curious how it all fits together.

 

 

I like that a lot. I wonder if that plate would interfere with my trifold bed cover? Has anybody run that plate with a folding bed cover like the Bakflip?

I think any SD ordered with the gooseneck hitch package will get them. Apparently, this is the newer design which makes more sense. The setup I had on my '15 F450 had the two pucks only and had to be removed with a screwdriver to get them out of the bed. This setup spreads the load and you are able to remove them quickly by hand to get them out of the way. The older setup with one ball was $250 - I believe this set is around $450 from Ford accessories if not ordered with the truck.

I looked closely at your pictures and at my bed cover last night. I think they will work together. I am going to be ordering one of the OEM ramp setups soon...I'll make a new post with that write up when I do.

The bed cover will work just fine with the plate installed.
