The 312 has a different block with the larger bore and, more importantly, a different webbing geometry to accommodate the larger main bearings to fit the 312s larger diameter main bearings.

312 blocks are often cracked through the main bearing webs.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with the 272 bored out to the 292. Seems like I have a good line on one with matthewq4b.

Now if I could only find a lower valence panel, then I'd be pretty much set.

do you have any extra front fenders both lt & rt for a 57 f100

Due to many logistical problems, I still haven't got the truck yet. It's waiting at the border. I'll know better once I receive it. I do have two fenders in my garage that are in fair shape, but I don't want to sell them until I see the truck.

57 f100 frt fenders

i am restoring my grandfather 1957 f100 and front fenders have rust holes in the usual spots.
