Sorry for the delayed response. We went with a "three car" garage, two door setup. The rough dimensions are 30 feet deep by 35 feet wide with 8 foot garage doors. The 30 ft depth is just perfect for parking the truck with plenty of room to lower the tailgate, and then some, with the door shut.

In the end, it worked out great. The house is 1500 sq ft and the attached garage is roughly 1000 sq ft. All LED lighting too, which is quite nice. Still a lot of work to do to finish up the space. But it is great to have a warm truck each morning in the dead of Alaskan winter.

Kind of same thing I did when I was building my house. Stretched the garage from the original plans to fit the truck.

I did the exact same thing and parked the truck in the garage footprint to make sure it would fit. In the end, it was the best change to the house plans that I made.

We just built as well. 3-Bay with 2&1 doors. Nothing nearly as nice as what I've seen here, however the first changes I made to the plans included extended the garage by 2' (24' total) and made sure the doors were 8' tall.

The toy hauler acts as an auxiliary garage.

Thanks puller I could spend all day in there, hope to put a lift in someday and have already toyed with the idea of adding another 30 X 40 section to the back end. Should have done it from the get go but have to draw the line somewhere! LOL

40 x 60 x 16. The back wall would partially be reused for the addition and in order to simplify the process the middle beam would remain there. Give me something to run into as I age, I suppose! They would actually add another beam behind it to support the inside wall of the addition. Clear as mud? lol

closely monitoring as this is something we'd like to do (w/ living quarters/apartment).
did you add drains in the floor? Im thinking it could be good for washing cars/RV in the building and helpful in washing off the floor occasionally.

What happened here.....
