1976 F-100 Seat Redone with Cup Holders....!

So i have looked and looked for a good way (ie. simple, cheap) to add cup holders to these trucks, and lets just say it.... there was no good way. With the T-5 I'm putting in, that eliminates any sort of floor cupholder. With our daughter as well, I didn't want to do a bucket seat with center console set-up either, And all of the other swaps from other F-150's and the like, well, I just didn't like. Headrests are too tall, yada, yada, yada, and they just, IMO mind you, don't really look all that good.

So behold........ A re-done, dentside F-100 with added cup holders.......

BTW..... not simple, or cheap. LOL

Any questions or comments, feel free! I'm up for any and all!

You can't just show us all a picture of something we all want and not tell us step by step how you did it. Come on, man!

Lol, sorry I did not do it. Got together with a revered local upholstery shop and I told him exactly what I wanted. A redone FACTORY ORIGINAL seat with a fold down cup holder set up.

He said he had done many for other trucks, mostly GM, but never for a Ford with this style seat. Since most 'Full' resto's (which this is not) do a nice, custom, bucket setup, or just re-cover.

This was about 2 months ago, and he thought he was going to have to just fab up all the bracket work by hand. But last week he was driving home in his 2012 F-350 quad cab and one of his kids had left a full soda in the back seat, in the cup holder, that spilled. Lo and behold.......... he goes all around town looking at the scrap yards and pull&save shops and finally finds an f-350 with the same back seat with the cupholder still there. He buys the seat. grinds out the frame work for the cupholders, welds it into my seat, recovers everything and BOOM! A legit original factory seat, with actual 'Ford' cup holders!

He was very pleased with himself!, as he should be, and I couldn't be happier!

Awesome idea! Gets me thinking about grabbing another seat and experimenting.
