Steering Damper

Steering Damper
Just swapped the factory damper for a Bilstein 5100 series damper. Wow...makes a difference. No more violent shake in my steering wheel going over bumps. Question I had was about torque spec. I can't find anything definitive and what I've read varies. I put 54/lbs on each end. Hopefully I'm good. Hasn't fallen off yet...lol.
Did anyone know that torque spec?

Getting this end out on the OEM damper is the most difficult part of the job. It is pressed in from the factory and will take some good leverage and a pry bar of some kind to pop out. It'll come out though. Wasn't too bad. Neither of the (2) OEM nuts were seized...so that was good. Didn't require any heat(which was good because I didn't have any). Just some PB blaster about a half hour before starting work.
Finished. Looks good. Makes a difference on the road as well.
Of course. How could I forget. I didn't take many. It was getting dark...and the whiskey was flowing.
