I did subtract the diference .02 before posting the results.

I think that (new) coil is OK, the primary windings are pretty stout, a tenth or two of an ohm isn't going to hurt anything here is it?

Took new coil back and got a different one. Puts out much better spark. Thanks for every ones help.

Really?? Is this some kind of import scheisse? What brand name is it, wouldn't trust it no way no how.

The one i took back was mastercraft. The new is different. cant remember the brand. Primary resistance on new one is 1.3.
