Lean codes for both banks would indicate a fuel supply problem. Could be a stopped up fuel filter or even a failing fuel pump.

Could also be an air leak, like a split intake hose after the AFM.
5.4l v8 triton i solved the problem it was the gas pump and gas tank fill with sediments and rust so i replaced both tank and fuel pump filter.

Not Idling when started

I have a new problem now 2001 Ford E350 5.4l gas Triton V8 engine once started it dies after a few seconds unless i press the gas pedal once i take my foot off the gas pedal it shuts right off. Found no vaccum leaks really need some assistance on this one there is no codes aslo

Have you checked the mode 6 codes and seen if any are out of wack?

Mode 6 is a series of Ford specific diagnostic codes. A bare bones code reader like the one you borrow at Autozone can’t show you them. I use a ELM327 module to hookup the OBD2 port and the FORscan (free Microsoft Windows program) to run the tests.

Not Idling when started

2001 FORD E350 5.4L GAS V8


Oh ok i resolved the no idling issue it was the IAC motor that was defective. Onced replaced it was up n running.

A new problem now arise so i decided to to take the van for a drive started and drove perfectly until i was finished working and was turned the key engine wont turn over no crank no start replaced the starter still nothing replaced the starter relay still no crank no start all fuses are in tact.

when i short the start out it starts

also when i shot the starter relay it starts just won't start from turning the key

when i turn the key i only hear a click at the starter relay.

NEED SOME HELP ON THIS ONE
