Hey guys I've come across something that has me baffled on my vin decode.
I've checked online resources and everything on my 74 f100 vin seems to be correct except the color. The vin shows "N" on the plate but the code for "N" on the online chart doesn't show any type of green for that letter and year.
My dad has owned the truck since 1977 so I know the history of the truck going back all the way to that.
ND, I think I've asked you before but I can't remember... my truck was built in Canada. My exterior code is AT but that doesn't show up anywhere. Does that just mean my truck was red and black two tone? If so anyway to tell which two tone I had?
Also curious my DSO is 74 (curious because Ford of Canada doesn't have that, it's a US code) so could that mean the owner asked for that specific paint job? It does match up to my POs story of buying it new in Denver

US & Canada: A = Black / T = Red.
Your truck was assembled in Canada (5th digit of the VIN: C), but it was orderedfrom the Denver CO (76) Ford District Sales Office and then sold new in the US, probably in CO, possibly in NM or WY
This is not unusual, for example all 1973/79 F250/350 Crew Cabs were assembled in Canada, but most were sold in the US
You can order a copy of your trucks original build sheet from martiauto.com .. Build sheet will list the name/address/city/state of the dealership that sold it.

Sorry I mistyped... I meant 76 which corresponds to Denver.
Also will the build sheet denote how my two tone was painted? I'm not sure how well my POs paintjob was so not sure if I can see what's underneath/original. I can't say I've really ever seen a black/red two tone dentside
