That's kind of what I'm wondering. The Fomoco doodlebug seems closer to the edge than it should be(going off foggy memory) and it doesn't look like a factory edge on the glass, almost like it was cut down.

Sorry to butt in here again, but this problem has me intrigued.

Could it be that the glass has been cut down? The reason I ask is that from your original thread, the window seals in the back doors do look to be very thick. See below.

What do you think?

I was working on the truck this weekend.
News: the seal fits the window opening.
I'm afraid I have to visit the glass shop again...

Well that is interesting. It sure makes you wonder what the previous owner did. It's quite an effort to trim down the glass like they did.
At least you now have an answer. Too bad you have to get glass cut again.

Here is the difference between John's pattern and my glass.
I have no idea what is the reason for this, but at least it is clear what to do.

I bet the glass fits inside rubber-- when they cut the glass the rubber was still on or someone took a pattern with it on. At least you solved the problem.

Good job and nice picture. Problem solved with a little help from your friends. It's the FTE way.
