I have also posted this in a couple of other sections, not getting much response. Thought I would get you guys opinion.
Have an Edelbrock Air Gap Intake manifold, Intake Manifolds - Ford - 289/302/351W - RPM Air-Gap Series - Edelbrock, LLC.
I have always used a Phenolic spacer under the carb. Do I need to use it with the air gap intake? Since the air gap is supposed to keep the heat sink from the engine off the carb? Thanks in advance for your help. Bruce

Run without it and if it vapor locks and acts up, put the spacer on it. I believe in phenolic spacers and close pins....

I have never had a problem with a vehicle vapor locking. ....well, one time I did. I used a cheap electric pump that was getting hot and heating the fuel. A stock, mechanical pump fixed the problem. You wouldn't need the spacer on a Performer intake. I think you'll need it even less on the air gap.

Good morning everybody!
Like usual, I have nothing to bring to the table that's truck related.
Tim and I made a day trip to Lexington early Monday morning. I wanted to be there for the mechanical, and termite inspection.
No termite problem anyplace.
The mechanical inspection did bring up a few things, as was expected from a 40 plus year old house.
There's some hail/weather damage to the roof that needs to be looked at closer. We're hoping the sellers insurance company will eat a new roof.
The brand name "Federal Pacific" Stab Lock, is a brand that some licensed electricians won't even inspect. They just say to replace it. So it needs to be looked at closely.
Chimney needs cleaned and inspected, to make sure it's safe to burn wood without nuking the house.
And there's a thin crack in a garage wall, that we want looked at closer.
If everything there is good, or if the seller will fix/reduce price. Then we'll go for the appraisal.

Unk Bob

Good morning Everybody!

I need to get a few panels on a 2004 Suzuki Vitara today. I'm supposed to paint it too, but that's going to have to wait until the truck is done. There's so much iron dust, dirt and debris in the garage, it would come out looking like bedliner if I shot paint in there now.

My left knee has been hurting lately if I bend it a certain way.

I tried to move it in the middle of the night to contort it around the wife & cats, and holly crap, it said hell no.
I guess we are the Corsican brothers.

On a positive note, I found a place to get new tires this Saturday. It's a little more than I wanted to pay,
but they are a better tire with a 60,000 tread warranty. No they are not Goodyear or Continental.

Another plus is, they have their own 0% financing, so I can spread the cost out over 6 months.

Getting old is not for wimps
RC, you have to be careful with youtube, it can be a black hole.
Dan, I have the problem of my dog taking up space. My wife is very short and doesn't use the lower part of the bed. So why does my dog think he needs my side?

Evening All.

I got the Suzuki straightened out. No paint, but it can be inspected now. He'll have to bring it back later for color.

RC. No, I'm working in the driveway. ...still.
