I remember the high winds here in 1987, I was in a single wide trailer on a corner lot, the wind come down the street so hard that from the front corner of my trailer, it peeled all the metal siding back for about 50 feet. it looked just like an opened old sardine can!

We had sustained winds around 50 mph. Gusts higher then that. Had 2 tractor traIlers roll over on a bridge for I95 so they shut that down. Next bridge over was shut down because of the winds. And CSX had a train derail on a bridge over the same river. That dumped 4 rail cars into the water and another 2 stayed on the bridge. In my area we only had 1 bridge open the whole time and they were restricted to cars only. Not to mention the numerous trees down all over the place. I lucked out in just some lost shingles. Others had trees come through the house. Local power company said some people wont get power back until closer to the end of the week.
