Cab corners, Whose done them?

I'm in need of Cab corners on my 71 F100. I have heard through the grape vine that some of the replacement panels don't line up well or not at all. If anyone has done them or has any input vendor or brand I would be mucho happy.

Thanks

Currently I am looking at Carolina Classics. I think I will call them to find out if it's USA and gauge thickness. Cost is $40.00 per side. I am leary of buying $15.00-$20.00 corners.

I wish I could find bump parts in the bone yard around here. I think cash for clunkers ate up any and all good used parts around here.

I called flashback F100's. These guys are never open. They are out west picking up parts. This is the 2nd time I tried to do business with them and failed. Looks like Carolina Customs has my business this time. The panels are 18 ga and are not made in the USA, but they are supposed to fit. We shall see

This was my experience ....warning: contains a fair amount of bitching

long story short...try Tabco first and buyer beware.

Please post what you end up with, I'm curious.

i think while my local junkyard still has some 67/72 f-100,s. it might be a good idea to go get some corners.and maybe some other parts.

I checked out your thread. One side was clearly garbage. I talked to Carolina Customs and was told they used to carry a US made quarter panel but the fitment had gone because the dye was worn out. They claim the fitment is good so we shall see. I will post up what they send me.

If you could find inner cab corners those are not reproduced.

I too tried Flashback F100's looking for a NOS heater core, but it was too difficult dealing with that woman on her cell phone. When I finally got her she seemed annoyed because I called and they were out pickin.

So my cab corners have shipped. I received a nice e-mail from them.

There are MANY companies you could have ordered your parts from, but we want to thank you

for choosing Carolina Classics F-100's.... RICK

Seems like a place I will do business again. It's the little things that count.

Carolina Classics seems to be a good place. I have run into them at a swap meet once or twice. Pretty good people, and based on the fact that they acknowedge their customers makes me think they know service too. Good luck and provide pics of the parts Brian.

New cab corners have arrived. They look nice. Through them over the rear corners. Not horrible. I think with a little finesse they will do.
