Torque converter with 5.0/AOD Ford part# and stall rating?
I am getting parts together to rebuild the transmission in my 1988 E150 with a 5.0 and AOD transmission.
My tires are 235/75r/15 I believe the door tag says 225 but it is a conversion van.
The engine and transmission is stock and if I were to pull a trailer it would be seldom and light weight at that. Under 2k trailer and load combined.
Right now I am looking for a ford brand or other equal brand torque converter and the right stall.
So far I have found a new front complete pump E0AZ-7A103-A
And a Ford rebuild kit but I don't see the bands in the kit.
NOS OEM Ford Kit Tran Overhaul E4AZ7C391A

So far I have only found an OD band which is not ford but ways the orignal part number is E6AP-7F196-AA
Thanks for any help

If you are rebuilding the trans now would be the time to upgrade it too, have a look here.. https://ford-aod.com/

I have no clue where to start with upgrades. I was thinking of buying parts and having a local shop do the work. I have read about people upgrading them but very little about local shops doing it. I have pulled and replaced a couple of automatics, changed the front pump seal, flushed, changed filters, replaced my shift shaft seal, cleaned the governor, set tv pressure, and a couple of other minor things but have never actually been inside one. If I had my young son who flew the coupe a while back I might think about pulling the AOD out of my 85 and see but that's not possible right now. I am pretty much stuck with buying one already rebuilt or finding a local shop. I assume most of the local shops probably use cheap kits and charge extra for worn parts. SO I was thinking to buy some of the most common parts that wear and just have the shop replace them while they have it apart.
