But that's just a guess...a flying leap, as you will, at the proverbial rolling donut.

So where does this new 3 times larger transmission cooler radiator fit? Do you remove the existing trans cooler?

Ah, there's another thought! It's a bad idea to eliminate/bypass the in-rad trans cooler, but you're correct, it's another possible way he meant it.

And just for specificity sake for anyone reading in the future, it's only part of the 2000 MY run. Some point midway through the 2000's Ford put the cooler back in the rad.

Yes. Remove the smaller 7.3 trans cooler and pop in a 6.0 trans cooler.

You'll need adapter fittings to make it work, but it's not difficult.

The 6.0 basically mounts where the original 7.3 cooler sits now. there are lots of 6.0 cooler install "how tos" out there. My 2000 didn't have the radiator cooler and I'm running the 6.0 cooler. I have never seen high temps, but I don't tow heavy. I'm with Stewart, fix your radiator and keep that portion of the cooling system working.

Not if you have the fix that swept the Internet last year!

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...giikdkpmcpkaon

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...t-fix/?src=api

Add those to your toolbar and voila, pics are hot linked again.

...until the next workaround, or PB decides to files a lawsuit because these kinds of addons deliberately circumvent their attempts to block access to their servers.

Wouldn't it be better to simply upload them to the FTE servers?

None of which really affect me.

Oh... ...wait a sec....

You were serious, weren't you?

While I do use the FTE uploader frequently, there's no way FTE's software is complex enough to allow me to copy the hundreds and hundreds of pictures I have over there, transfer them to over here, and be able to organize them in a useful, user-friendly manner.

Thought I had a pic of the fittings, but no.

Thought I kept the fittings, but no. I removed them last Spring from the radiator when I replaced it. Can't find them.

Pretty sure the new radiator came with the new fittings.

If I could find them, I was planning to send them to you, eliminate the rusty part to mate up to your new lines. But apparently I can't do that. Sorry, buddy.

Maybe someone else who has replaced their radiator has kept the fittings?

This may sound odd but I never looked. I thought that my E99 did not have radiator cooling for the trans,
am I mistaken? You can bet that when I'm under there today I will check.

Are you looking to replace the entire line from the transmission to the radiator?

Here's my thread where I fixed my 6.0 cooler installation. Fair number of pics that might be able to help you see what lines are needed and where. It also has my new radiator install in the thread
