2000 F350 clock/radio display dim

a few months ago, the display on my clock/radio started getting less bright, then noticeably dim, dimmer, and now no display. If I tap on the display 'glass' it may, or may not, come back, but then slowly dims an goes back to no display.
All other functions work just fine - just not display.
I've taken the clock/radio out and apart and re-soldered four resistors that appear to be part of the circuits feeding the display controller on the circuit board behind the bezel but no fix. The display did come back for a short time but then faded out to no display.
It appears that there is a loose solder joint or connection somewhere that effects only the display.
Does anybody have any idea where I should look next for a loose connection - or what else might be causing this display problem?

Thanks for any help on this.
John

Final update on my clock/radio display problem -
Took it out of the truck again today for a second look at the circuit board.
Found another couple of likely candidates - black rectangular about 1/4" long with a number on the top.
In the process of re-soldering one end of one of them I found that the soldered joint at the other end had broken loose from the board.
Soldered that end and, as well, re-soldered both ends of the other part.
Reinstalled the radio and - miracle - the display is as good as new now.
