Anyone have Pic showing stock 48-52 tailpipe location?

I FINALLY have my assembled bed sitting on my truck frame (50 F1) so before it get's painted i want to get the exhaust completed from the muffler back to tailpipe. The kit i purchased a year ago(ebay guy that sells them) had a mid section (muffler to tailpipe over the rear axle) that is way too long and i didn't realize it until now. I'm not sure if i got hosed or not but it's too late to worry about it. Looks like it's for an 8' bed instead of 6'. Anyways i'm just trying to find a good stock picture show the exit point for the tail pipe so i can finish it up. You think it would be easy to find one but i can't and i probably won't get 2 chances to cut this correctly.

Thats funny Ross. I was thinking about taking a picture of the bottom of my model.

I have a brand new tailpipe that I never used because I ended up going with dual exhaust.

LOL

You know what, i did chuckle but it's the best i can find.
SO basically if i exit it about vertically flush with the rear bumper i should be "close enough". My original was cut off about 3 feet behind the exhaust and left to do it job from that location. Sometimes it's the simplest things that become hard to figure out, especially when you order a supposed replacement and find out it has some "universal versatility" built into it.

The guy that i got it from has not responded to me yet but i'm betting he'll take issue with me. If so i'm going to temporarily hook it up and take a picture. I'll post it for a chuckle if it comes to that.

Ross, you are such a valued member of FTE and are one of the most knowledgeable guys here. And you willingly share your knowledge with us here day in and day out.

But now you gone too far to help us! You did not have to turn your truck on its side to show is your exhaust! I hope you didn't dent or damage your fenders when you laid it over.

Somewhere around here was a picture of an F1 on its side after an accident. Seems it it had a pretty good view of the undercarriage.

So I did the exhaust correctly on my 54! Thanks Bill. I am assuming that this model is not a flathead nor a 6 cylinder.

Does the model have a side-mounted spare?

LOL, no it's laying in back of the truck.

PS. So the guy that sold me the exhaust over a year ago got back to me and is willing to cut me the correct pipe if it's not right. I'm going to get him some pictures and measurements, then he'll get it figured out. He said I should NOT have to cut and depending on the flares i might not be able to anyhow. I guess i'll know more tonight.

Here is one of my models. It is a Meadow Green 53 F100. I couldn't find a 54.

Here is the underside of a black 53 I have. My 54 is wired to the base so I couldn't turn it over.

It's not totally accurate as the tailpipe goes straight back and not out to the side.

Me too. If anyone needs a new, single piece V8 single exhaust for a "right" price send me a PM. (Budget builders?)

Not original, but a reproduction pipe I got off line years ago. I have a 51 with the 226.
