Made the tonneau, mounts, and the locking device.

It looks like just angle down the bedsides. Did you use a seal?

And what did you do for hinges?

I used CPP's hidden latch system. Bought it off of ebay as it was cheaper and with free shipping than from their site. I modified their install a bit to make it a bit more "Stealth". Instead of using the rear mounting screw I welded the hole shut along with the latch to it. My one complaint about the system is that the thumb screw and sleeve they supply is not long enough. When you tighten it all the way it binds on the tailgate. Which will be no good when it's finished painted. I'm going to first try and make a slightly longer sleeve and hope there is enough thread on the stock thumb screw to hold it. But if not I may have to try and find a TS with a longer thread or head to the lathe and make my own. If I go that route I'll most likely make a piece that matches the curve of the tailgate rail and goes the entire length of the hole to make it totally covered.
I also raised the side rails of the tailgate to hide the lath a bit more.

I looked at all of those solutions but decided to stick with SS tailgate chains and rubber covers from Macs. I used a SS spring loaded climbers link that I bought at Home Depot as the top part of the latch. If you need a better picture let me know.

Does anyone had photos of the two piece chrome latches from Mid Fifty for the tailgate.
IE how and were you have them mounted.
I would appreciate them very much
Thanks in advance

I did not buy from mid fifty but very similar. For the latches to stay latched getting the 2 pieces of the latch correctly located is critical. I had to work with it some to get both latches to stay latched.

The cable ends came from a older ford truck/junk yard, probably the 90's and the cable came from Advance auto. I fabricated the 1/4" ss pieces. The cables come in different lengths. I mocked it up and found cables that were the right length. Difficult to see in the picture, however there is additional bracing on the outer surface of the bedside and bed.

My 2002 Chevy Silverado has the same cables on the tailgate. Fairly common setup for later model trucks.
