It's good to be home

..in more ways than one.

Hi guys! It's been awhile, I know. Many of you know I took a little time away and built a new home on my property where my shop is. We spent the last year and a half living in a travel trailer in an RV park while we built the house. It took a lot longer than we anticipated, and really its still not quite finished yet. But with the septic system in and water running we've been able to move the trailer to the property and stay here while we put the finishing touches on things. The best part is we now have a reasonably good working internet connection, which will allow me to drop by here on the forum a bit more often. I've lurked a time or two to try to keep up, but have missed out on a lot so I hope you'll forgive me if I chime in on something that's already been covered. Definitely have some catching up to do. Here's a couple pics, as I know the rules, attach photos or it's not real.

Nice place...I like the low-maintenance lawn! I'm just jealous, way too much garage space there...

Welcome back, Wayne. We’ve been there too with a house and it’s a full time job on top of having a full time job. Hope the remaining stray ends get tied together in short order. Stu

If only I would win $2.02 million at a casino then I could build a 4 truck garage! Ha-Ha! (must see earlier thread.)

And welcome back!

Hi Wayne! I bet living in an RV, you'll not want to go camping for sometime!
Nice property there! Congrats!

Nice looking place! Glad to see you back!
Charlie, I've often thought green asphalt would be the perfect yard.

So.... How did you sneak that home plan with a 4 car garage past your wife?
One stories start to look pretty good to us guys with old backs & knees. I like
it and welcome back over there in Washington!

Yahoo! welcome home to FTE, and home to your own property. It's good to see your avatar pop up. Beautiful house, congratulations.

Thanks, guys. Ross, we've moved just down the road a couple miles to Burbank. I tried to change the location on the user CP info page but for some reason it didn't take. I'll have to try it again.
Jeff, the RV is for sale. I've had enough "camping" for a lifetime.
Ben, I had the house plans longer than I've had the wife. Part of the attraction was she bought into my dream. She's a keeper.
Stu, I hear you about the 2 full time jobs. It was a lot more work than I anticipated, for sure. But definitely worth it. I know you travel by this way from time to time, so I hope you might get a chance to stop and visit one day.
Ben, the one story is the only way to go. I think my back and knees are older than I am, so I can relate.
