Buying A 2014 F150 6.2L: Opinions Please
So I'm looking to replace my beat to death 97 F150.
I found a 2014 Ford F-150 Lariat with the 6.2L in it with 89,942 Miles on it.
It's a one owner truck in mint condition and Loaded.
Carfax is clean and they're asking $28,733.
I've been reading and searching and the 6.2 looks be a VERY good motor.
What do you guys think? Good price Yay or Nay?
Anything else I should worry about?
Anything else I should be ecstatic about?
Thanks Guys & Gals

90K miles is a bit high for a '14, but if the truck looks like it has been well maintained, it's most likely not an issue.
The 6.2 is a very good mill. It doesn't appear to have any major issues, but you might check in the Super Duty forums to get a better idea (last I heard, it still accounted for ~50% of F-250 sales). It's a rara avis in the F-150, so you're more likely to hear about any problems from the Super Duty guys.
As for pricing, check KBB to see if it's in the ballpark.

The price is a bit high IMHO but the rarity of the engine is driving that.
If not already done, there will be some maintenance items coming up at 100K miles. Plugs and coolant.
The transmission, transfer case and axles will be due at 150K but I don't know many whoa re waiting that long. The point being that right after you buy it, you'll need to spend some money.

Thanks Guys!!!
Yes it's a 4X4 and it's nice to know about the upcoming maintenance. I'll definitely use that in negotiations.
It will become a VERY low millage truck when I own at some point down the road as it will be a secondary/extra mostly for fun. Whenever the weather get's nice here TN, I usually op for the Convertible Cobra or one of my bikes.
So I'm really going to be taking a deep look at how clean and well maintained it was.
And then I can't wait to dress it up and make it "Cool" LOL!!!!
