cranks, no start, plus codes

hey guys im in the process of rebuilding a 2005 f350 harley edition for a buddy. just a quick run down on what i had done.

I pulled the engine, did ARP studs, head gaskets, 8 new glow plugs, glow plug harness (2), front engine seal, all new filters, EGR delete, along with some other misc. stuff.

the problem now is today was the first time i was able to get her to crank over and she just wont start for anything. I hooked up my scanner and ALL 8 glow plugs are coded. along with a code for OBD incomplete?? I checked the connections they are all good. I have to be missing something stupid!!

also on a side note, with the EGR deleted how do you prevent the code from popping up that the EGR isnt there anymore??

Tomorrow ill be back down at my shop to hopefully get this old girl running again.

Any help would be amazing.

AJ

Did you check the glowplug module power lead on the passenger side battery terminal?
For the MIL, on 2005.5+ trucks you need a programmer (SCT) to keep the light off due to the PCM looking for EGR flow by detecting intake air temperature change when it commands the EGR valve open. Since you deleted the path of hot exhaust into the intake, the IAT2 does not see the temp increase so it trips the light.

there is a bullet connector on the passanger side fender. Is the the connection. Or is there a wire that goes right on the battery terminal?

Got a pic of the connector?

Don't do all that cranking with the key unless you have the FICM relay out, or use the starter wire passenger side firewall
How much cranking have you done? Having the system opened up and dry take a lot of priming.
Many times it takes a few minutes total......don't go over 20 seconds at a crack with starter cool down in between each cycle.

Do you have oil under the ICP sensor at the oil rail? If not, you are still priming.
