wiper linkage
Hi I am in need of original wiper linkage for 48-50 f-1 I used to have one of those universal kits but now that its broke i'm not buying another one, I wish to get a newport motor kit but i would need the linkage to the right side wiper part number 17588 I called nos parts but they no longer have them

Like 3twinridges mentioned, your best bet is to keep an eye on Ebay.
If you don't see the linkage specifically listed you could always email various sellers that are parting out 48-50 trucks and ask them if they have the dual wiper linkage assy. I think that's how I found mine.

The best I can tell the one up for sell on eBay is a 51_52 which can be made to work. But I am searching it. I have reached out to each eBay seller I find with similar part and told then to keep an eye out for me.

I know where there is a couple 49's up here but are in waist deep snow right now, in a couple months if you are still in need let me know..

There's quite a bit of difference between the 48-50 and the 51/52 linkages. The 48-50 trucks had the wiper motor mounted behind the instrument cluster at the left side wiper. The 51/52 wiper motor is in the center of the dash.
On the 48-50 trucks there are some dash support brackets on either side of the center speaker that provide support for the radio. The linkage goes through a hole in the brackets. I think to use the 51/52 linkage set-up you'd have to get rid of the radio and modify those support brackets.

This thread is from Feb 2018, so I'm a little late for the party. I found this searching info on the wiper linkage for 2 wipers. Mine only has the driver's side. The picture above with the parts breakdown will help me out.

I bought an electric motor from a member on here Mark (48FordV8)? It is a direct bolt in for my '49.
But I don't have anything for the passenger side linkage.
I'm not even sure what I need. I have the original vacuum motor still and another vacuum motor as a spare.
I need to look at what I have before I start looking for parts.
Just wondering if anyone has parts.
