Driver side fender spare tire patch panel

There's a lot of patch panels out there for various body areas of these vintage Ford pickups. I've got a real solid metal original driver side rear fender on my 53 F100 and would like to rid it of that spare tire indentation. There's several co's that sell new aftermarket fenders but I'd love to keep mine and just use a patch panel..Does anybody have a lowdown on a possible patch panel supplier...?

I've never seen a patch sold for that by any of the Ford repop catalog stores.

Why not buy an old fender that might be rusted out at the usual places for cheap but good at the top front corner and cut the piece out that you need?

Or, there are guys that want the spare tire fender and they don't reproduce them. You could get good money for yours and buy or trade for the fender you want.

Why dont you post it up on the forum for sale or trade? Someone out there may want the tire cutout. I for one, really like that look, and have purchased the cut out fender in the past. Maybe you can swap straight up with someone looking to change. I wouldnt waste my time with all the work involved in cutting and welding in a patch.
