Load range E

Those running load range E tires, what brand, what psi unloaded?
I drive in the desert quite a bit, I have 6ply Cooper's, they're working but a little concerned when I'm on jagged rocks and brush while quail hunting.
Thanks
Mickey

I'm running Falken's WildPeak At3w 8ply, just standard size 265-70 17.
Tire shop recommended to run at 35-40psi for normal driving , but if I plan on hauling a significant load or pulling a heavy load on a trailer, then maybe increase the to 50psi.

The biggest reason I got the LT 8ply was you get like a extra 1/16th of inch of tread depth over the "P" metric 4-6 ply tire & that I do pull a trailer maybe 3-6 times a year, that tends to get loaded pretty well. I also wanted something that did well in snow/ winter conditions. It figures we haven't had much snow ...yet this year. The little we have had they did pretty well, but I wonder if the softer "P" would do maybe better.

Over all I pretty happy with them...BUT ... being a heavier tire you probably will see a little less economy, I did about 20miles per 1/4 tank less...er so

I was a bit surprised that they are pretty quite for a aggressive tread. I was expecting worse.

Thanks e&b, googled faulkens , they look pretty good. I'm most concerned about sidewall and tread puncture than load capacity. Load range C has 1800+ load capacity, combined is 3600 lbs more than enough.

Cooper Discoverer AT3 load range E on my 03 SuperCrew 5.4 4x4, running 50 psi all the way around normally.

I stick with load range E due to having 8 miles of gravel from the farm... anything less seems to have a lot of flats from the sharp rocks.

Mileage runs from 12 to 15 mpg.
