Shipping

Just a quick note on shipping: it will vary by area of the country and size / weight. One member got a quote on the basic grille guard and shipping was $90.00 to the northeast (From the shop in Florida). That's not too bad - total cost shipped is close to $350.00.

It's another story if you are doing the full grille / brush guard, shipping quote was substantially more - so, do be prepared for that.

Reamer,
Thanks for the info. Just got an email back from Wade at Sterling, he thought I wanted a roll bar. Asked him about a Chrome Brush/Grill Guard for my 86 Flareside so that I could keep the original chrome bumper. Will let you know what he says.

Reamer, you were right, no chrome. Here is what Wade sent:

Sorry, No chrome plated product – only powder coated steel.- For the 1980-1986 F150 the guards bolted to the exposed carriage bolts that attached the bumper to the frame. - At that time, we adjusted the overall width of the central grill guard to be to the outside OR inside of the carriage bolt centerlines – depending on customer request. Many customers liked the narrow look – and just as many liked the wide spec.- The wide spec was used with the brush guards. Below is the Traditional Grill Brush Guard styling we made in the early 80’s – Part# 84C-T @ $400.00 + shipping
- However, a narrow spec can also be created

The pricing is based on the final configuration + the shipping cost

Has anyone placed an order from Sterling recently who can attest to the price? I contacted them today looking for a quote on the basic, two bar grill guard and was quoted at over $500 without shipping, double what SCFlareside was told. I can understand a price change, but for it to double in the course of a month seems extreme.

Jgood, what type of grill guard do you want? The OP; SCFlareside, posted various grill guards available from a supplier in post #2. It you want just a grill guard I would think the Base model outlined in post #2 would be the way to go. BTW, what do you want to use the grill guard for? If you want to use it as a push bar or a mount for a winch you might need one similar to the style in post #10. Hopefully someone can chime in with 1st hand experience. FWIW, the one I bought used is similar to the Traditional style in post #2.

Winch bumper

Does anyone know what other accessories they used to have? Winch bumpers? Looking for some mounts for my Warn classic (angled chrome 80s version). Right now it has squarebody Chevy mounts. Hoping to get it on soon, then I can toss these on!
