63 Econoline exhaust headers
Hello,
I am looking for exhaust headers for my 63 Econoline 2.8L. I replaced a very loud leaking exhaust manifold with a new OEM manifold and now the new one is doing the same thing as the old one, although I think it is a bit worse. Any suggestions? Suppliers?

The 170 is the same as the 200, so you might get better luck searching for a 200.
The 1963 doghouse is a little smaller than the 1965-1967, so you may need to box out where the side wall meets the floor.
I put a Clifford Header on a 200 in a 1965 Econoline back in the eighties. I used a big hammer to bang a big dimple where the floor met the doghouse wall.
Clifford lists two headers for the 200, both long and short tube. They do not claim that they work with our Econolines. They say they work on all Ford bodies. You should call to check. And as I said, you might have to box out the sheet metal a little to make it fit.
The longer headers (53-0186) should work better in our Econolines than the shorter headers (53-2111).
