'40 half ton doors

Over the years I have collected most of the parts I need to build a '40 1/2 ton pick up (actually a '47 cab). It's going to be a street rod/ hot rod build so I'm not real concerned with originality.
I only have the door latch and remote for the drivers side. I guess the pass side latch has found a new home somewhere else.
My question is should I look for another latch for the pass side or look for another style door latch.
Do these original door latches work well?
I don't really want to use aftermarket bear claw latches because I want to have handles and locks.
Anyone have any ideas?? Anyone have a latch/remote for the pass side?
Thanks for your help
RD

so are your doors 40 or 47?. Basically interchangeable but different. I'm not sure if the latches interchange from 40-47, some other parts do not. It shouldn't be hard to find some. I have a stack of doors, but buried in the snow. I put 47 doors on my 40 and had to do some die grinder work to the door so I could use 40 dove tails and get the doors to close. Windows and channels are different, not sure on latches but I wouldn't make that assumption.

My doors are original to the cab body ('47 ish) It was actually a larger truck. It was a Kansas cab that I bought in southern Ohio.
According to DRAKES big catalogue '38-'47 are the same.

IDK on 38-39, maybe the body lines and hinges line up so the doors technically "fit". But there are a lot of the parts that do not interchange, as I mentioned. And interchanging doors, or door parts, isn't always going to work. If I were you I'd stick with the 46-47 year parts. 42-45 SHOULD also work but I make no assumption on war era stuff and the 42 is known to have things different than the post was models
