Bigger tires and 4.10s

I am looking to put bigger tires on my truck, probably 33s. I have read some forums where guys have claimed to get better mileage with 4.10s running bigger tires. Is this true???

33ís will make your gear ratio higher and you will see about 80 rpms lower at cruising speed so better mpg is possible.

That would be nice. What abt 35s? Would those be too big to see a mpg increase?

From what I have read on here 4.10s and 35s are a pretty good combo. Not sure if much mpg gain as you have more rolling resistance and the truck sits higher.

285s or 33 essentially 4.10s and a ZF-5 16-18mpg at 70 mph, drop a mpg or two with 35s been this way for the last 230k miles. Bone stock minus an intake and exhaust CCLB with 285s and an auto averages 15 on 4.10s

I keep forgetting that a lot of you guys are using the mobile platform. I do that occasionally, but much prefer the look and feel of the desktop site. Do you guys use the GT app or just a mobile browser?
