All look good. Vibrant was the brand of the blue one that goes on the turbo 2.5 to 3. the clamps for it are worm gear with the springs. seem nice but a simple t-bolt would also work I think. The v-band for the turbo to down pipe is really cool. Wish I had a good picture. The part the "T" goes into flips up so you can loosen the bolt a little then flip it up and it opens way up. you can kinda see it here.

Different pitch. Not any louder so far but I have not pushed it yet.

I don't think so once I get it all together good. I did not get everything really clean when I got it together so if something comes out I would blame that.

the ends of the intake Y have a raised lip so I think that will be much better than stock.

VS stock

Nailed the skinny pedal in 4th boost swung up quickly between 25 and 27 on mechanical gauge torque pro said 25.1. SES light popped on I'm assuming overboost. 45 to 60+ seems good. Need to try my regulator.

Carson shipped my replacement cac tube today.

Your quote of "45 to 60+", are you referring to the MPH or speed the truck was traveling at the time when the skinny pedal was nailed?

When you get a chance sir, do the same test but in OD/5th gear please. Just curious to see the differences.

Yes. I left it at home today. I'll try to get some videos and data logs next time.

Some data logging. I need to try my other tunes and talk about what is going on with them because I would like them better. Each data point is a 1/2 second after the previous one.

1023 medium tow. Didn't get full throttle ran out of road

Seems to have less power at lower rpm han the next tune??

Gearhead tow/economy run up from 1500 rpm
not bad I would like to see this with a little more fuel possibly??

Gearhead tow/economy accelerating in 3rd and 4th
FIPW a little bit more than I like. I think I like the heavy tow better for this reason but I don't remember.
Boost over 25 so no data

Started as it was

A few years ago I cut the glow plug relay bracket. I can loosen all 3 bolts with a 1/4 drive swivel 13mm and it comes right off. no need to disturb any fuel lines

I had this off replacing the o-rings on the plugs in the head for the high pressure oil. The one in the picture had a damaged o-ring. I HOPE I finally found my leak.

new HPOP hose clears everything nicely.
orange boots could be longer. It is on and does not leak so I am not touching it. clamps are right at the top of boots

Clears my homemade power steering hose. Stock and aftermarket have a 90 degree fitting mine is just bent tube so it sticks out a little more. You will have plenty of clearance.

Here is my little helper today. Wanted to sit in the truck while I worked on it for about an hour

All together. Bent map sensor bracket and zip tied boost fooler.

I trimmed about 2 inches off the s bend intake where it goes into the stock rubber intake. Fit is great now and easy to install or remove the filter.

Leak testing. Homemade boost fooler is set

Think I have all the typos fixed. sorry

Just sold my old turbo and pedestal locally for $250 I gave him a bunch of other parts with it. add that to the 100 I got from Brian after shipping and paypal fees. gives me 350 back with a few things left to sell. I feel I could have gotten more but I got them gone quickly before I found another truck that needed a turbo and a new home.

Now I can go transfer tank shopping. I think I am going to ditch the gang box on the flatbed and get a small fuel tank.

SO what is the consensus on safe boost levels for a stock 7.3 engine? was playing around and sustained 33 up a hill and realized I was at 83% throttle. not saying it had more but it may have. IIRC 40 is where things start to go bad and up to 35 is ok but I would like to confirm.

Shouldn't be a problem. If your going to go 40psi I'd stud it. Lots of guys hit 40psi all the time with know problems but most would say to stud. I believe Rich has his set at 35psi before blow off and he's not studded yet. But many more over the years even hit 40 with know problems. 33, you should be fine.

Just accelerating normally out of town. Each data point is a half of a second.

I don't think head studs are necessary but stiffer valve springs would be a good idea.

Brought the camper home Saturday. Drove easy only went about 10 miles. Did a little logging. keep in mind boost readings are hitting the limit of my regulator

Accelerating 1st 2nd 3rd 4th. Boost ebp fairly 1:1 I think I was hitting the regulator here. seems to max out at 20 or 21 when boost comes up slowly. will max around 23 24 if it comes up quickly.

Uphill acceleration in OD FIPW a little high I think. MORE BOOST THAN EBP

Stopped at the DMV for a sticker for the camper. Little guy was all excited about the semi.

Woke up to snow today!
