Forscan - Manual Regen

Does the Forscan program have the capability to perform a manual regen?
If yes, is there a procedure on what steps to take? I have searched and not been able to find any documentation on this.

Yes, it does have the ability in the latest versions. Search this thread for regen.

Be aware though, this is a service procedure done on the full PC version. Truck must remain stationary, hood up, and takes about a half hour if I remember correctly. I only did it once.

Think is closer to 20 minutes. The good thing is it can be stopped at any point by pressing the brake pedal.

Performed my first manual regen via Forscan the other day and it brought the neighbors out of their houses. It's pretty loud when the engine RPM raises to 2K and the radiator fan is running with the hood up. Sounds like the damn think is going to blow up. And stay way clear of the exhaust tip.

I think the build dates for trucks capable of the forced regen should be posted in every thread on the topic. So that people like me (2015) don't get tricked into thinking we can perform one

You can perform one but you need to use FORScan or some type tuner/monitor that gives you the function such ad the EDGE Insight CTS/CTS2.

I have forscan and a 2015 lariat. You're saying I can do a forced regen?

Yes, using ForScan's service procedure "Static Regen"

I used my Edge CTS to do a manual regen on my 2015 XLT. Not sure what you are talking about.

A while back I had read that it was only possible on certain years and certain trim levels. I guess that's changed. Or I'm misinformed.

Two different procedures. 2011-2012 were able to do a forced regen thru the productivity screen. Forscan enables you to do a static regen while sitting still, but you can only do it with a laptop hooked up to the truck.
