The insurance companies deemed them a hazard. Turning a corner they would get caught in the sleeve of a coat or jacket and the car/truck would keep turning especially on a left turn and crash into another car. Most of the time right into a drivers door sitting there waiting to go.

Whoa, I sleep in and almost missed the party. Abe I have Radial TA's up front 205 60 15's which are great for cruising, but IM sure some narrower Bias ply tires up front would definitely make parking easier. And a little more air would help with the radials I'm running now. I'm already running a suicide *** that folds over when not wanted. The first one I remember seeing was in the movie "Rebel without a cause" with James Dean. The law enforcement have always been very lenient, kind, and helpful towards me and my truck. I think I started this post during a moment of mid life crises,, but it has turned out to be a very informative and fun thread. Only on FTE, can you imagine if I asked that question about the sand on a different forum.. Oh well, carry on my friends, I appreciate the education that I get from all threads, this one included.

I'm running radials and stock steering wheel on mine, so far I still find it easy to steer (need to remove some of the play) . My 25 year old (115lbs and 5'8") daughter has been doing great driving it and has been for 5 years now (She hasn't tried to parallel parking yet). Sister (when she was in her early 20's about the same weight and 5'5") tried driving mine in the early 80's and she couldn't steer it or push the brakes hard enough to stop it... Glad I'm 6'4" over 250lbs, never had a problem.
