Haha, yes, I think you could. It's getting polished after they finish the balancing work. I'm looking forward to getting the bottom end buttoned up, so I can focus on the heads.

Picking up a spare front clip this weekend... only wanted the pass. fender but can’t beat the pkg price. Going to strip the inner fenders, hood and passenger fender along with my current spare driver's fender and prep them for paint.

Picked up the front clip this evening. All in all, it's in good shape. Some very minor rot on inside left support of hood, top left inner fender (same area as hood) and 2 small holes in left front fender (less than 2" total width) Grill is OK for driver quality. Hood also has dent in left front corner where it fell from where seller had it stored. it's all easily repairable, but since my hood is rust free, and straight, i'll be using it.

I posted the parts I won't be using up for sale on Facebook earlier, and already have buyers lined up, so should be able to recoup most if not all of my investment, and have free/cheap inner fenders, radiator support and passenger fender to restore then swap into my 78 when I do the engine swap and repaint.

Balancing is complete. Found out my flexplate was bent/warped, so had to pickup a new one.

rods were fully reconditioned/resized.

Was using truck to pull some trees as I cut them... strap came loose and sent hook flying into left taillight housing... argh.

On the bright side... I started assembling the bottom end tonight. Need to order one more set of rod bearings. Then get #8 in the hole.

Decided to spend Labor Day, laboring away on the 78. Started working the metal around my taillight surround & things kind of progressed from there. Iíve got the rough shape done, still have more finessing which will come later as I needto remove the bumper.

Found a bunch of holes in upper bedside where there were tiny dimesize or smaller dings... instead of pulling them, they were drilled & filled with bondo.

future plans are to delete the stake pocket holes for a cleaner look.

Got a great used tail light, still need to work the metal a bit, but gets me back on the road. Atleast until I have more time to devote to body work.
