door ajar light, need some help not simple spray fix

I have been trying to fix the door ajar light on this 2003 expedition.
I have had every door apart and changed switches around. This has gone on for years.
Now still has the same issue, the rear lift gate does not lock.
I changed the latch, that did not help.
I tried it with the switch unplugged, and with it jumped with a wire. still no help.
I opened the headliner and ohmed the wires to the lift gate switch. both wires are good.
Does anyone know if this has to be jumped with a resistor of a certain value? or where is the security module, and can I jump the lift gate switch there?
I is annoying with the inside lights coming on when they want, and the lift gate no locking.
I can not see any voltage but I assume it is only a quick spike when locking to check the switch before locking the door.
I have narrowed it down to this because If I have a door open it will not lock. All of the doors and the lift gate glass all lock.
Sorry this is long, and not the normal spray it issue.
Thanks

Here is the wiring diagram for the door switches up to the VSM. I would pull the connectors from the VSM and probe the wires to try and see which switch is giving you the trouble.

The location is shown in the PDF I posted. What do you mean the wrong year, you didn't say what year the vehicle is?

ok, I tracked down a listing of the plugs on the vsm and started ohming the switches, Found the liftgate is ok, 3 of the 4 doors are not working. does anyone know if all of the switches are the same? or if the drivers door is different, the parts store website lists 2 switches. I got 3 off of a car at the wrecking yard, but one of them is NO and he others are NC. Just wanting to know if anyone knows for sure, I would hate to put the wrong switch in the door.
or are they different left and right

I'm fairly certain the 4 front doors are the same, but either the rear hatch or glass might be different.

ok, I have found that the drivers door is different, The switch is orange instaed of tan and it is opposite of all the other doors.
So I have all of the doors working and no door ajar light. There liftgate still will not lock.
everything else locks, and there is only one honk when locking with the fob so it knows all of the doors are closed.
Any ideas on where to go from here?
Thanks
