With the 7.3L it can be so many things. Fuel bowl heater fuse? CPS? IPR tin nut? HPOP? Fuel pump? UVCH?

Did you run it for codes yet?

Make sure you post up in the 7.3L section so the guys there can help you get squared away too.

This is going to sound really stupid, but check all the wiring connections. I've had multiple cars fail to start because of loose connections. Check the connections to the PCM too.

OP has a V-10 excursion. His last project was a 7.3 F350.

Thanks, that's right.....took too much time off....trying to get back into the swing of things...my bad.

But, that does make it easier to figure out!

I just had that happen with my project F350 5.4, turned out to be the batter cable. Looked fine but didn't work... replaced it never a problem again.

Does the 7.3 have a crank sensor? Just for S&Gs clean all connections, my 6.0 crank sensor plug got a little oil in it and I was chasing gremlins for days until I cleaned it then she ran like a sewing machine.

So the V10 is now running. The main culprit was the battery cables...Thanks Russ!

There is a slight knock in it so now I will be pulling the coil packs and checking the plugs.

I'm glad I could help! That issue had us stumped for awhile, finally after testing figured out what was happening. The cable looked fine but had an issue somewhere in the line.

Terrible news! hopefully it's just a misfire and not something more serious.

Corrosion kills. We dealt with this in military wiring all the time. Can't usually see it, but it can be tested for fairly easily.

we cut the whole cable apart along with ends, it made no sense what so ever, everything was still shiny no corrosion. Oddest thing I've ever came upon.

Glad to hear you got it running! Hopefully the knock is just a sticky lash adjuster from sitting or something like that.

So after replacing a few of the coil packs and plugs; the knock is still there. It is definitely coming from the bottom end of the engine. It is time to throw in the towel and part it out.

Thanks for the help everyone.

As soon as this is gone, I will be on the look out for another one. I have to keep this little projects around so I can fund the projects on my truck...
